average setup and repair prices which may vary according to the condition
of the instrument and complexity of the work. Every instrument is
different therefor a fair assessment is best done on a one-to-one
basis so the instrument can be seen first hand. It doesn't cost you
a penny to have us look at it and estimates are free.

 BASIC
SETUP- $69.00 **BEST VALUE**
..includes neck adjustment, check and tighten tuners,
minor nut work, minor fret work, saddle adjustment and a good cleaning.
NEW NUT - $35.00 - usually bone. Other costs
may apply if the nut is only part of the problem, ie; worn frets or
a poor setup.
NEW SADDLE - $30.00 - usually bone with the
same conditions for "new nut".
REPLACE TUNERS - $35.00 plus the price of
the tuners. May or may not require touchups (filing old screw holes
etc.)
FRET DRESSING - $75.00 - removing "divets"
or worn areas, recrowning and polishing. Includes a basic setup.
RE-FRET - $200.00 and up. Add $20 - $45 for
bound fretboards. May require a new nut and/or saddle. Individual
frets $10.00 each plus dressing costs.
INSTALL PICKUP - $55.00 plus the price of
the pickup. This is really a base figure since we offer a wide variety
of pickups with different installation requirements. In many cases
we can make a deal whereby the installation fee is included in the
price of the pickup.

PICKUP REPLACEMENT - $55.00 - basically the
price of a setup. We also offer a wide range of electric pickups and
can include the installation fee depending on the pickup.
ELECTRONICS REPAIRS - $25.00
-to remedy simple wiring problems. Additional charges apply as the
work becomes more complex. Parts extra.
 Custom work can also mean custom dollars. A lot of time can be spent planning a complicated job and it has to be paid for. Nevertheless we'll always try to work with our customers to achieve the best results for both their instrument and their pocketbook.
(As an afterthought, I have to say some people want some pretty unusual and often strange things done to their instruments. No problem! I'll do the work, it's not my place to argue such things. Just remember, a vintage instrument can be seriously devalued by making drastic changes!
